(no subject)

We couldn't find Simba last night. The last time I'd seen him was around 4PMish. I recalled that I'd opened all the screened windows on the first floor while the weather was nice and closed them when it started raining again, so I went around and checked the condition of the screens. Got to the last window and saw Simba sitting on the outer sill, making a sad kitty face. Sure enough, the screen had been pawed free of its frame. Simba was damp, dirty, and a little spooked, but otherwise fine.

I have two tickets to see a horror movie at the Ritz Theater in Old City tonight. Originally, I asked my brother to accompany me, but he did something really stupid and immature over the weekend and if I see him, I may have to chew him out mercilessly. I'm TRYING to be his ally, but he's making it mega hard. Anyway. The 2nd ticket is totally up for grabs. If you want, say something. The movie is The Signal, the time is 7:30. FREE.

If you took away my posts about food (good food, bad food, food I wish I was having) and sex (good sex, bad sex, sex I wish I was having), I bet that would be something like half of my journal.

Anyway, I was posting to say that I love the Green Chile and Cheese Tamales from Trader Joe's. I only intended to eat one for lunch, but HAD to eat both. HAD TO.

And if you gave me a minute, I could probably think of something to say about sex, too.

Seriously, don't be surprised if I give you hard candy out of my purse, pat you on the head, and call you a Nice Young Man. I am a GRANDMA.

And if that didn't make my night, the next thing sure did. I tried to rent American Gangster from the movie machine, but the title was missing from the selection. Since I had to rethink my movie choice, I stepped aside to let a woman behind me use it. She had reserved her movie ahead of time, on the internet, I guess, so it went real fast. As she was finishing up, she said to me, "Were you trying to rent American Gangster? I reserved it earlier, but I seem to have done it twice, so the machine just gave me two copies. Want one?" I promised her I would get it back before 9PM tomorrow and offered her a dollar (since that's what it cost her), but she waved me off. What luck!
