We couldn't find Simba last night. The last time I'd seen him was around 4PMish. I recalled that I'd opened all the screened windows on the first floor while the weather was nice and closed them when it started raining again, so I went around and checked the condition of the screens. Got to the last window and saw Simba sitting on the outer sill, making a sad kitty face. Sure enough, the screen had been pawed free of its frame. Simba was damp, dirty, and a little spooked, but otherwise fine.

I have two tickets to see a horror movie at the Ritz Theater in Old City tonight. Originally, I asked my brother to accompany me, but he did something really stupid and immature over the weekend and if I see him, I may have to chew him out mercilessly. I'm TRYING to be his ally, but he's making it mega hard. Anyway. The 2nd ticket is totally up for grabs. If you want, say something. The movie is The Signal, the time is 7:30. FREE.

Poor Simba. My cat got out for two days last fall, and she came back dirty, hungry, and cuddly (weird for her), but otherwise no worse for wear.

Poor Baggy! Simba was very cuddly and sort of remorseful for having tried to escape (I think, anyway). Luckily, the window was in the back and our backyard is enclosed with a high fence. He probably could have gotten out if he really wanted to, but I think the rain made him seek shelter instead of go prowling.

I'm pretty sure Baggy only made it as far as the trash heap that was in the backyard before deciding she didn't want tobe an outside cat.
