Suggestions, anyone?

Tonight, my dad is taking me to Total Wine and More. It's practically the Disneyland of Wine and Spirit stores. They've got a mind-boggling selection and the shopping experience is pretty user-friendly. Dad wants to build a case or two of vino, and he told me to prepare a list of things I'd like to score. I've got a few things I'm already going to make sure to nab, but I'm definitely open to recommendations. Some parameters:
- I like rieslings a lot. (What do you expect? I've got an epic sweet tooth.) But that's certainly not all I like. I've enjoyed a lot of wine, but what I don't like is anything so tannic that I feel like chasing it with water. Anything too robust is a no, because that stuff tastes like a cough.
- A good price range is, like, $10-20. There are tons of great wines to be had out there for not lots of money.
- Anything green/organic/earth-friendly is a plus.
- How about local wineries? Think globally, sip locally? Any faves from the area would be most welcome.
