You know how your day or your week takes on a theme sometimes? Like you hear a word that you haven't heard used for years, and you hear it twice or three times in the span of a couple of days? Or an object just keeps popping up in all sorts of situations? My recent theme is hydrangeas. I see them everywhere lately. The significance? I'm not sure, but I CAN say that they're the flowers I want around when I get married; I've been decided on it for a long while. The pale green ones, when only the outer half of the petals are starting to turn light purple or blue. Their frequency in my life of late remains an undecoded coincidence, but that's alright. I like when things happen that hint vaguely at larger themes. I don't believe that Everything Happens For A Reason, but I am truly convinced that The Universe Is Playful.

its the beginning of their season. they are early spring bloomers into fall. they are my grandmothers favorite flower also. she has dried ones in her room all winter and then gets new ones when they bloom again. the universe might be using that too.

One of the many things I'm sure we have in common! Another one is that we both love you!

I had pale green hydrangeas at my wedding and I grow them in my yard. They are definitely one of my favorites.

we carried hydrangeas at my cousin's wedding and they were beautiful. also: they symbolize rememberance. :)
