Last call for valentines! Right now I'm making 12 and I kind of like the idea of a dozen valentines, but I sure wouldn't mind making more.

Ezra Fuhrman and the Harpoons = AWESOME.

I told my dad about wanting to travel with my tax monies. He said I should try to visit Europe or go on a cruise. The problem with those things is that I will not have THAT many monies coming my way, plus those are the kinds of things you need to do with another person or several of them. If I go visit people, then I've automatically got folks with whom to do fun things. On the other hand, I have never been anywhere tropical and that needs rectifying, eventually. Hm.

My snacks today are two clementines and an avocado. Avocados are probably my favorite source of natural fat. With just a little salt, or maybe a dash of sesame ginger dressing. Talk about food porn! I could fantasize over that for hours.

Exactly! And someone already knows some of the good places to eat and good places to have fun.

wow. europe is a really big big trip, in my opinion. i would wait until you had extra money and someone that was also planning to go. it would be so scary to go alone! cruises arent for girls alone either. i wont let you. do you want to go to the mountains? my parents have a house there.

Well, we had french exchange students when I was a kid, and we've kept in touch with them a little bit, so I could probably stay with one of them. But what's the fun in exploring if you have to do it by yourself?

Yes, please let's go to the mountains. I vote for starting this plan right now. We could write songs together and take walks every day.

dave once went to that hedonism resort-- he said it was great if you were single because you *had* to interact with people.

although i'm not that ballsy to do something like that.

when i left lincoln nebraska i took a couple weeks traveling back to my parents' house (where i'd wait for a job offer), and i stayed at every net.friend's house between the two locations. i saved a ton of money on lodging, and i got to visit lotsa people. it was so fun. one of the best trips ive taken (by myself).

I would be terrified at Hedonism unless I had another single person with me.

If gas prices weren't so incredibly high, I'd be totally down for a road trip. Luckily, I have a couple of pals who live close together, so I can fly out and they can get visits all at once!

MMMMontreal. You could research your family tree, eat cupcakes and go to hipster cafes!

I'd love to! And there are really good last minute deals on airfare to Montreal. Not that I mean right now, but instead if I bought them in the future, after careful planning, for dates a week or so later.

Would you mind a houseguest in that case?

Not at all. We have an extra bedroom and I've been trying to meetup with you for years now.

Besides, having a houseguest will encourage me to get out more and not just sit at home watching movies from the 1930s.

Long due! And I always thought it would happen in Jersey; this is much more exciting. I guess I would have to get a passport and such. Easy peasy.

Just for the record, I am totally an enabler when it come to watching movies from the 1930's.

Speaking of avocados, I like to spoon a bit of honey into a sliced half of an avocado and then scoop out the innards with a spoon. DELICIOUS, I tell you. I think so anyway. Sounds weird, but it's actually so very good.

I vote somewhere tropical. you won't need anyone else so much as a book. I lived in the caribbean for a chunk of my childhood and it is still my favorite vaca spot for sure.

just a thought.

Oh man, I would love to. I'm prying my roommate about her aunt and uncle who have a house on some island or another. It doesn't matter which. I want to go!

I'm using mine to go to NYC and a few other east coast places. I've never been to the big apple.

I live on the east coast! Maybe if you pass by somewhere close, I could come say hello or something?

Delaware! The tippy-tip of it. Thirty minutes from Philly.

True. I may or may not be able to swing through there. I need to sit down and really plan this trip out as soon as my tax return gets here.
