I found my list of resolutions from last year. For the most part, they were useless. In a year, your idea of what's important can change and change and change.
In 2008, I resolve to:
1. Start saving money.
2. Continue making choices that will keep my body healthy and happy.
3. Have more patience with people, especially at work.
4. Worry less about seeming cool or smart or different than I am.
5. Be a great friend to the friends I have and the ones I furthermore resolve to make.
6. Stay more organized.
7. Embody love, joy, and creativity on a regular basis.
8. See more live music.
9. Live greener.
10. Spend less time on the internet.
What I wish for you in this next year is that you are able to do the best you can with what you have.

It's weird...I make fun of having an addiction to the internet, but I indeed do have such an addiction.
Also i feel you on worrying less on seeming cool or smarter or different.
