It occurred to me in the shower that I'd like to make a little chart of people I've slept with, in order and grouped together by the year in which I first slept with them. For statistical analysis of a sort.

As it turns out, I saw the most varied action in 2004. That doesn't necessarily mean I got the MOST action of my life that year. I just acquired the most new partners. My guess is that I had the most sex in 2006.

And something I didn't realize until looking at all the facts: Last year, 2007, was the first year since I became sexually active that I didn't sleep with anyone I hadn't already slept with at least once. It's sort of an interesting thing to realize. It was quite the personal, introspective, solitary year.

My all-purpose black cardigan has been too big for me for a while. I happened upon a solution that will work in some situations. If I unbutton it and start rolling both sides back in two tight little rolls away from one another, then use a great big safety pin of the decorative kind to pierce the two rolls through, fastening it right under my bust, it cinches it in a bit. Magic!

Cleaning my room this morning, I came across some mail from my mother's house I hadn't opened yet. Inside one padded envelope was a CD, apparently another gift for subscribing to Under the Radar magazine! And amazingly enough, it was an album I'd been contemplating purchasing yesterday! Richard Hawley. Lady's Bridge. It's sparkly and sweet and a little melancholy. Very nice. Like Morrissey, but not whiny and not full of himself. Plus a little of dash of "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" era, ballad-y Elvis. That's my first impression, anyway.

My new favorite breakfast: Pomegranate cranberry bran muffins from Trader Joe's. I love them even though they are less muffin than moist bran pressed into a muffin shape, and despite the fact that they taste of wet cardboard just a little. You simply can't go wrong with 100 calories, 13 grams of fiber, and fruity antioxidants. Regularity up, cholesterol down, hell yes.
