I think, for the most part, New Year's Resolutions are LAME. Just another way to set up unrealistic expectations, like people always do for themselves. This year, though, I have a few.

Rezzo-lootions, muthuhfuckers:

Dear Jackie,

1. Stop finding ways to apologize for being fat. I mean, you never say outright "I'm sorry I'm fat," but you sure go to lengths to make sure people know this before you meet them, as if they'd be traumatized.

2. Learn how to be single. Do it with style.

3. Make something or work on something crafty once a week, minimum.

4. Don't settle for less than you deserve.

5. Be smarter with money.

6. Find a way to absolutely get new ink.

7. Don't doubt yourself, baby.

8. Never be afraid to be glittery. Sparkle your heart out.

That's pretty good. And maybe they are less resolutions than General Themes for Personal Betterment.

I am losing so terribly at Monopoly. We stopped playing for tonight and will resume tomorrow, but really, I don't think I can really do much with only two pieces of property (the Baltic/Medit. monopoly). All the other property is taken and developed. It's only a matter of time 'til I'm crushed. I guess I'm just not good at this capitalism thing.

Jacy (<3 <3 <3) made me a 22 song mix CD, and I'm working on gathering all the titles via Google. Actually, scratch that, I just finished... the track list goes like this:

"Moshi Moshi" - Brand New
"Emenius" - Green Day
"What It Is To Burn" - Finch
"Chasing Fireflies" - Tokyo Rose
"On With The Show" - The Ataris
"Looking Up" - Autopilot Off
"Variations On A Theme" - The Juliana Theory
"Out Of Reach" - The Get Up Kids
"Consumed By Laziness" - Hot Rod Circuit
"No Place Feels Like Home" - Midtown
"California" - Phantom Planet
"Holly Hox, Forget Me Nots" - Saves The Day
"I Woke Up In A Car" - Something Corporate
"You Know How I Do" - Taking Back Sunday
"Time Bomb" - Rancid
"August In Bethany" - The Juliana Theory
"We Go To Eleven" - A Static Lullaby
"Clavicle" - Alkaline Trio
"Hey" - The Movielife
"Sunday Drive" - Early November
"That Thing You Do" - New Found Glory
"The Taste Of Ink" - The Used

I LOOOOOVE it. Mr. McSpazatron is too darling for words.

aww hehe it's certainly not a diss. i used to LOVELOVELOVE the juliana theory, like between 2000 and 2001. i went to so many of their shows in one year's time that i think it was like... 8 times? yeah. as a result, i've seen many of the other bands on this list too [like the movielife, autopilot off, finch, hot rod circuit, etc.]. this list takes me back!
