The "Trenton-Missouri-gender" talk was supposed to have occured last night, but I chickened out at the last moment. It's okay, though... during lunch today, I'm writing Mom an email and attaching the picture of Trenton and me all happy and cute in front of my webcam. I'm so determined that everything is going to be fine. It is. Happy, happy thoughts.

I needed to hear that. So thank you. I've been a bit on edge lately.

Also, letters are good. I think a letter is a good way to talk to your mother about it. Maybe it's just my social anxiety but letters are less nerve-wracking for me when dealing with heavy subjects. I can think about what I have to say and word it in a way that doesn't hold the chance of coming out all wrong, like most of my words do when I speak.
