The Tummy is Angry

The lovely Carly and I got back just a little bit ago from the Ham Fam. We went, specifically at 1am, in search of a girl, who we didn't find. Instead, Carly worked on knitting, and we listened to Weezer and motown and the Ramones on the jukebox. We both ordered milkshakes, and I also got a coffee. Cuz, see, I've been taking my meds on a regular type basis and they've been putting in bed by midnight, some nights as early as 11pm, and I'm typically a 2 or 3 am type gal. Yeah, coffee to battle the sleepies and a milkshake because I'd been craving one. Strawberry. Mmm.
Except, when we got our milkshakes (and mine came nearly 5 minutes after hers), I noticed right away that mine tasted a little tart. At first it was unique and okay, but then I started thinking it tasted nothing like a concoction made of ice cream and milk. More like... pie filling. So I thought, maybe it's vanilla ice cream and strawberry pie filling. But while my shake was thick, it wasn't particularly frozen. It was a really smooth, creamy texture except for big chunks of strawberry, and upon closer inspection, I could actually see swirls of pie filling. A few more taste-n-ponders, and I recognized the specific tartness. Yogurt. I think the Ham Fam tried to pass off strawberry yogurt with strawberry pie filling mixed into it as a milkshake. Topped that sucker with a mountain of whipped cream and hoped I wouldn't know what a strawberry shake is supposed to taste like. Fuckers.
So, add that weird mixture to an already unpleasant stomach, plus two cups of coffee, and you get a cranky girl clutching her tummy and moaning.
Besides that thought, the diner was fab, per usual.
