besubversiveI cried on and off all day. Think that's done with, I think, until we get to Sanford tomorrow.
My mom brought me a flower and a heart-shaped balloon after work to cheer me up. I think I was already cheered when I made a comment in an email to her about being my mother's daughter (we are so alike) and she replied, "I'm glad you said that. It reflects well on me." We went to Nia together and I danced so great with bare feet and new tight workout duds. Split a meal afterward. Finished purging myself of all the anger I'm feeling about Dad and his guilt trips and his righteousness. I am about half done with packing my suitcase, and now I'm going to relax with a hot shower and incredible handmade Pineapple Cilantro cold process soap.
We leave at 9AM. If Dad (or Shelly, for that matter) starts any bullshit about my brother, or my mom, or any other thing... I'm getting out of the car and walking to North Carolina. My dad is a truly good man, but he's too damn principled for his own good.
