Despite the fact that I am ultra-poor, I'm going to try to live it up in Philly this weekend. And then, when I get back, I'm selling a bunch of old textbooks/my graphing calculator/my other digital camera. And anything else I can think of. 'Cuz I have GOT to get moving on Christmas shopping.
I was watching this show last night with my roommate... it's called Bones. It's about this woman, nicknamed Bones, who does forensic anthropology, blah blah. She was figuring out what happened to this girl they found all rotted in a frigerator. Everything pointed to this couple and as it turns out, they had nonconsensually handcuffed her, tied her ankles, and kept her in the basement for three weeks. On a break from court proceedings, one of the lawyers says to Bones, "I want to put away these S/M perverts." Ugh. And worse, half the show was spent making a shaky case for BDSM being healthy and practiced by well-adjusted, sane folks... just to prove in the second half that only sickos and criminally-minded freaks would ever do that stuff. Great.
Have you ever seen The River Niger? You should. It's totally good.
I am so hungry. HUNGRY!
I'm going to a queer open mic at a book store in Bethlehem tomorrow. Maybe there will be hot queers in attendance? One can only hope.
Oh, yes, and the Passional Magazine is out today. I'll be snatching up 30 or so copies, if I can, while I'm in town this weekend.
