JD downloaded and burned to disc the only copy of Bugsy Malone floating around the internets, and it is perfect in every way except that it's got Swedish subtitles. Whatever. I can watch one of my favorite childhood movies and learn a language at the same time. But seriously, have any of you ever seen this flick? It's a gangster film, but all the characters are played by kids. Ten-year-old barkeeps and police officers and barbers and such. Scott Baio is the main character. Jodie Foster plays Tallulah, a brassy speakeasy singer. (My brother says, "The most feminine role of her career.") I have been looking for this movie for ages! It's right between Milo and Otis and The Adventures of Baron von Munchausen on the list of Movies I Would Have Watched Four Times a Week When I Was Nine.
