Yesterday in Philly was crazy awesome:

+ It was sunny.

+ My dad got tired of me looking for parking and said he'd pay to park in a lot. It was $20, but my dad also found a $20 bill skittering along the blacktop after we paid. So, free parking.

+ We were eating at Marathon Grill and I saw Kimya and her little one, Panda, and probably Karl Blau and Angelo Spencer walk by. They went into the little bakery across the street and had breakfast. I was excited.

+ The person who rung us up at Marathon accidentally charged us on the wrong bill, which was $23 less than our bill was supposed to be. We didn't realized until later, because we forgot about the three mimosas I had ordered. Philadelphia was throwing money at us.

+ The show was at the Philadelphia Ethical Society. Ethical! SO GREAT.

+ I took a bunch of video of the show (although it took me a little while to figure out that I can't take video sideways; there's just no way to flip it around later). I'm putting them up on youtube and posting some here later.

+ Everyone was super good. And my dad totally enjoyed it.

Kimya!

This song is totally cute. You can hear me giggle at least twice. Oops!

The Moldy Peaches (Kimya Dawson and Adam Green) are going to be on The View tomorrow. They'll sing that song that's in Juno and then get interviewed by Whoopi Goldberg. Kimya said, at the show, that she is so excited because she would have done ANYTHING to meet Whoopi. "If I had to massage someone's butt in the audience to have Whoopi in my lap right now, I'd do it."

Draw the news.

The directions are to look at today's news and pick a person from a news story. Then google image search the person, and make a little colored pencil medley of pictures associated with that person.

I know, I know! So posty lately. It can't be helped; I am very into sharing right now.

For Elliott, or you. Angelo Spencer vid. )

I made a test batch of chili today. It's smoky and pretty good, I think. Now the flavors gotta do some magic in the fridge for a day or two, and then taste testing happens. It's going to be a No-Alarm Chili. Spice-y, but not spicy. Not very, anyway.

I saw 6+ hours of live music yesterday. Exhausting! Today I went to Trader Joe's with my dad, and mostly just sat around the house the rest of the day, cooking and watching movies and diddling around with pics and vid on the computer. Also, our power went out earlier. Probably had to do with high winds. I napped through most of it, and good thing, because it got REAL cold, REAL fast in our house.
