(no subject)

I've got a four-day weekend! There's staff development for all the other teachers, but being a pretend teacher as I am, they aren't choosing to develop me. The time off has given me an excuse to play The Sims and watch The Squid and the Whale (excellent movie!) in my PJs. The rest of the day will probably hold a little room-cleaning and a little errand-running. Maybe a stop at the Y. Same old, same old.

Jenny Lewis was amazing on Tuesday. My favorite part involved her mid-show re-entrance onto the stage with the Watson twins, all three dressed in short spangly dresses, and subsequent shimmying and banging of tambourines. Like a Las Vegas hoedown. The two openers, Michael Runion and Vietnam, were a simply mediocre singer/songwriter and an overly psychadelic band full of Jesus beards. Next show: The Mics, Calvin Johnson, and D+. With my best friend!

Speaking of whom, there are only six more days until I get to see my very best friend in the world. I'm incredulous.

It's such a gorgeous day outside, and it's the best time of the year. I wish I had plans with someone to do outdoorsy, Autumnal things.

Like:
- camp
- pick pumpkins
- pick apples
- go to a corn maze
- walk around in orangey afternoon light, kicking leaves

Also, I'd like some kisses.
