Apr. 7th, 2006 10:54 amI woke up this morning, very agitated, after a scary dream. The dream was about having a class on Tuesday nights and suddenly realizing that I'd forgotten about it completely since signing up for it. I thought to myself, "Fuck! There are really only four weeks left in the semester! I haven't been to that class once!" I panicked and tried to figure out whether or not it was possible the professor would let me make up 10 WEEKS of missed material.
It was scary because my rational mind knew that I'm currently taking 21 credits, and if I were to not pass a class, I wouldn't have enough credits to graduate this semester. While I'm doing fine in all my classes, my sense of safety is somewhat threatened on a subconscious level, maybe? Because I was all, "Holy fuck, I'm not going to graduate!"
When I woke up, it took a few minutes to recall that I DO have a class on Tuesday nights, but that I HAVE been going since the start of the semester.
Oh, and the class in my dream that I'd been missing: Anime 101.
(When I was awake and lucid and secure again, I thought, "HAHA. I should have known it was a dream. Me? Anime? Come on!")
(PS: I am not hating on Anime. It's just not for me.)
