I just woke up from an awful dream.

After a trip to the bathroom, I started typing out the details, but it made me feel too terrible and inhumane. The gist of the dream was that I let a bunch of people down. Mostly it happened because they kept leaving me in charge of really delicate baby animals and... well, Lenny from Of Mice and Men would be a good comparison. Not that I pet the things too hard, it was more like I just didn't know how to care for them right. I looked away at the wrong time, was forgetful, let mean children play with them. It was heartbreaking and it KEPT HAPPENING. I felt like a monster.

When I realized, after waking, that it had only been a dream, I was still ashamed and deeply sad. And I am, even now.

Even though I couldn't care less about Chuck Norris, this has to be one of the most amazing icons I've EVER seen.

My room is SUPER hot because the forecast was all, "It's gonna be raining lots," but in Real Life the weather went, "Sike!* It's sunny, dudes!" and when I left for class I had my windows closed and my blinds open and this + that = It Is SO An Oven In Here. Gross.

I'm going over some stories that are going to be workshopped in Advanced Creative Writing this evening, and... well, geez. I'm supposed to write comments and whatnot but... Guys, I don't even know where to start. So, I'm going to eat my $0.34 microwave burrito and probably procrastinate until I have to leave for community service.

And speaking of community service (part of an Ethics class), I'm starting today at Community Bike Works. It's an agency that not only teaches bike safety and gives kids an oppurtunity to build and earn their own bikes, but has an after-school reading and homework component, too. Fortunately, I'm going to be a volunteer tutor for the latter bit. I was sorta scared that they'd want me biking around Allentown in the middle of winter. I didn't even learn to ride a bike until I was 10, when the dad across the street offered to teach me. Tutoring is definitely my better skill.

(* I have ALWAYS hated the word "sike", especially because it should be spelled "psych" and never is.)

PS: Expect to see a LOT of this icon.
