I'm enjoying my life as a girl with no roommate and not much to do with her time. I sit around in this room which is ALL MINE now and I nibble at my groceries and I make and recieve many phone calls and I think a lot about all the knitting projects on which I'm currently slacking. I'd be such a hermit if I didn't like being social so much.

This little piece of pretty solitude is over on the 16th, but I have a whole semester of it to look forward to after winter break.

(Is it selfish to say "fuck you" to rules and conventions? I know, I know... it all DEPENDS.)

Horoscope for week of December 15th:

Cancerian hero Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in a South African jail as a political prisoner. Once he was released, he became his country's first democratically elected president, helped abolish its system of apartheid, and won the Nobel Peace Prize. You, my friend, are at a point comparable to the one Mandela was at right before he was freed. Although your confinement hasn't been nearly as dire or as long as his, your release will be pretty glorious. I hope that in the ensuing weeks you will demonstrate at least a fraction of his ability to triumph over the adversity you've had to endure.

(Somehow, I think glorious is the wrong descriptor.)
