My apologies for anyone to whom I owe correspondence. I've been busy with last minute chaos and trying to write papers while hungry and sick and also kind of down about winter coming. Tomorrow I have no classes and next to nothing to do, so you'll hear from me if you've been expecting to. (That's right. I'm ending my sentence with a preposition. And if that's a problem for you, too bad!)

I'm afraid I'm getting sick. Well, okay, I AM kinda sick and I think that I'm only sorta conquering the nausea at this point. I still have a yucky throat and a dizzy head, and sniffles and a little coughing. This is unacceptable; there are important weekend plans! I promise to go to Health Services tomorrow. I promise promise promise.

Tomorrow: Getting help with my absent health, corresponding, cleaning, selling back books, knitting. And maybe I'll watch Amelie for the 1,000th time. And maybe you should come over to do the same. I've got a warm bed and a hundred different flavors of tea. You know you want to say yes!

Survey says: It's pharyngitis and a cold. The lovely health services folk set me up with 3 doses of Advil Cold & Sinus and some LOATHED cherry mentho-lyptus cough drops.

Instead, I'd like some miso soup, a warm cup of Nutcracker Sweet tea, a bag of honey throat lozenges, and someone to kiss my forehead and rub my back. Sigh and sigh again.

I now have little question marks hovering over some of my weekend plans. Bollocks to that. Bollocks!
