Oct. 23rd, 2005 11:34 pmSo, contrary to what I said in my last post, I DID get to see Travis this weekend.
Friday afternoon, I hopped on the bus to Philly after recieving short notice of the boyfriend's availability. The trip was maddening, however; squalling baby + seat on an angle that forced me to prop myself into it + my iPod being finicky = not so fun ride. However, I was greeted at the dropoff point by a very cute Travis who hugged me and smiled at me and gave me a sweet sweet card. Made the bus ride worth enduring, for sure. Plus, back in his room, he gave me a crazy themed mix CD he'd made me. Then he [censored... censored... censored] and we started to [censored... censored... censored], until we both collapsed, sweaty and sleepy.
Saturday, after waking up ultra-late, Travesty and I went over to Drew's place. Jacy was there! Yes! I hadn't seen that little brother since August! It was good to hug him and be tickled by him and rub his head and giggle. And then I nearly died in a swing intended for naughty purposes, though under innocent circumstances, I swear! Then there was watching of Drawn Together, and departure for food attainment. We went to Serrano, which I'd been craving since I was introduced to the cuisine before a John Wesley Harding show in August. Trav and I got The Meze, of course, which is a Mediterranean platter featuring baba ganouj, jajik, hummus, dolmas, chickpea and feta salad, cucumber salad, marinated beets, spicy roma tomato stew and lots and lots of warm, lightly grilled pita. And even though it was raining, we walked afterwards to South Street and got ice cream and strolled (read: slogged through MANY puddles).
Today, there was mostly cuddling until my mother arrived to take me to Delaware and my as-fixed-as-possible car. Much phone conversing and listening to Cursive made my trip to school pass quickly, and soon enough, for better or worse, I was all sorts of back at Cedar Crest. Eh.
Hooray, though, to warm boyfriends who always smell amazing.
