What is peace?
Jul. 13th, 2005 08:10 pmToday we read The Alphabet Tree to the kindergarteners.
Miss A.: ...and so they made a sentence, "Peace on earth and goodwill toward men." And they took that sentence to the president. The end. Now, do any of you know what peace means?
Kids: (silence)
Miss A.: Is it when you don't argue or fight? When you and your brothers and sisters get along, does that mean peace?
Kids: (various answers) Yeah! / And when you're nice to people! / And when you do what your mommy tells you to do! / When people are friends!
and THEN, the best part:
Aaron: It's like when my dog eats my sandwich and I say, "That's okay!" And then I make another one and eat it in the basement!
SO INSANELY CUTE!
