(no subject)

A very darling gypsy sent me the most amazing mail a few days ago. It really made up for the non-mailitude of late. The best homemade card EVER and a CD I can't stop listening to, and some of which I played on the radio show the other night. <3 x 1,000.

Today I need to:

- Read for Love in Western Literature
- Sew new buttons on my mauve cardigan
- Finish my grandfather's scarf
- Finalize my Libidinous Librarian costume
- Pack for the weekend
- Update my iPod with new music (how did I ever do long car rides without it?)

I promise to take pictures this weekend. The makeout party should yield some good ones, I think. ::giggle::

Inferior Fiber Art (TM)

I'm making an afghan at the moment, the purpose of which is to use up as much of my yarn and yarn remnants as possible. This is what I've got so far:



It keeps my lap warm while I work on it. Mmm.

And I forget whether or not I've shown this... but it's the bag I crocheted most recently:



In other news, I busted out my sewing machine today to make a purse out of the top 8 or so inches of a skirt. Recycling is good, you know?

Tomorrow, it just occured to me, I have to get up relatively early. I need to pack, because I didn't at all today. I also need to go to the bank and get gas and drag my laundry to the car. Meh. I wish I hadn't told my mom I'd be home by noon.

Also, I hope that this crampy-ness I'm experiencing currently does not mean I'll be bleeding soon. Because, damn. The makeout party is in two days. If my body can just wait until Sunday, I'll treat it to something nice. Like new eyeshadow. Or a face masque thing. (Pleeeeeease, body.)

I'm really in the mood for dressing up. I have a few nice dresses in my closet and boy, do I wish I could wear them somewhere.

I need a date!
