Here she comes, Ms. Pajama Party.
Feb. 16th, 2004 04:33 amHoly Hell. I cannot BE-LIEVE it, but... I won!! I got first place in the Pajama Contest tonite at Stonewall's Pajama Party. All the contestants had to strut down the dance floor with the whole club watching. When it was my turn, I thought I would die, but I didn't. Instead, I gave my kickiest, most vixenly walk. I switched my hips, kicked my heels, did a little twirl, and batted my faux eyelashes at crowd shyly. And I won! I was so so so surprised. And happy! I got do another little catwalk, blushing and grinning, and I was awarded a big basket o goodies. It wasn't until later that I realized how MUCH they put in my basket:
2 DVDs (CHICAGO !!! and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days)
1 CD (DJ David Petrilla's Best Mixes January 2004)
2 king size Hershey's bars (one plain, one almond)
2 cans of pringles (one plain, one cheezums)
2 decks of playing cards
1 3pk of popcorn bags
1 bag of hard sourdough pretzels
2 cans of silly string (one red and one green)
1 Pride Pass (a card that gives me discounts to a bunch of places in the area)
A handfull of mini-skittles bags and rolls of smarties.
I'm so flattered that I won. We rocked out before and after, dancing SOOO much. It was honestly one of the best nights at Stonewall EVER. Dean, the greatest bartender, congratulated me afterwards. He's such a sweetie, and he always holds my purse and keeps me sippin' on free ginger ales.
I was so proud. My moment in the spotlight. ::glows::
