vroom vroom
Aug. 24th, 2003 01:14 pmSo, I'm settling into school and I'm super excited to be here. Everything feels on the up and up and I know this year is going to be better than the last... wait, Counting Crows song coming on... "It's been a long december, and it's easy to believe, maybe this year will be better than the last." My room is coming together nicely with all my new pink stuff, and I feel like I could actually attempt organization this year.
Shan the ladies man came over yesterday. He hung up a bunch of my clothes, which is the only task I could really give him because I'm such a control freak when it comes to cleaning or unpacking or ANYTHING. We went to Mall-Wart and I shopped for pillows, and stuff for my new Lil' Sisses. We also scored the COOLEST organizer to fit in the once useless space between my bed and my desk... there like 6 inches of space that isn't right for anything, but I found a fairly inexpensive 3-drawer thing that fits in there like it was made specifically for that purpose. Luckily my dad left me with a C-note, so I had a way to pay for all my nifty purchases.
So, then I treated to Shan to a typically sucky Cedar Crest dinner on my fun new meal plan, and weirdly, Shan seemed to enjoy the cuisine. ??? I don't know... Then we frolicked for a few hours with cute froshes, my lil' sis Missy, and a whole mess of girls I continue to enjoy this brand new school year. We did the Ham Fam (Hamilton Family Resturaunt) and then every girl managed to turn Shan on. He was quite popular... Teara and Carly came looking for him this morning. Haha! If he still had been on campus, I wouldn't have known... 'cuz I left him in the care of the very pretty, very taken, and very faithful Katie. I was just too damn tired to stay up and play anymore.
The roommate situation: Eh. I'm not gonna waste energy on being upset that we don't even talk. I love my current state of being... and we can be civil and courteous and life will go on as smoothly as it can.
Drew is the sweetest guy around, and he's being altogether very good with his separation anxiety. Oh, by the way... if anyone in Delaware decides to come visit me (which you all should... it's very easy to get here, I'm only a block from Dorney Park), bring Drew! It's just a suggestion. :)
Anyhow, can't lose my unpacking momentum... so I'm off!
